Natures are very important for competitive battling. Depending on the nature, they give +10% to one stat, and -10% to another stat.


Lonely: +Attack, -Defense (Good for physically inclined mixed sweepers)

Adamant: +Attack, -Sp. Attack (Good for physically inclined sweepers)

Naughty: +Attack, -Sp. Def (Another option for the physically inclined mixed sweeper)

Brave: +Attack, -Speed (Good for powerhouses who lack the speed anyway ie Rhyperior)


Bold: +Defense, -Attack (Good for physical walls, who are special attackers; also Blissey)

Impish: +Defense, -Special Attack (Good for physical walls, who are physical attackers)

Lax: +Defense, -Sp. Defense (Not really sure what this would be used for)

Relaxed: +Defense, -Speed (Good for walls and tanks that are already slow, like Bronzong)


Modest: +Special Attack, -Attack (Good for special sweepers like Alakazam)

Mild: +Special Attack, -Defense (An option for a specially inclined mixed sweeper)

Rash: +Special Attack, -Special Defense (Another option for a specially inclined mixed sweeper)

Quiet: +Special Attack, -Speed (For specially inclined walls that have low speed, like Slowking)


Calm: +Special Defense, -Attack (For Special Walls, who attack with special attacks, Miltoic)

Gentle: +Special Defense, -Defense (Not really sure what this is used for)

Careful: +Special Defense, -Special Attack (For special walls that attack with physical attacks, Snorlax)

Sassy: +Special Defense, -Speed (For special walls that are already really slow, Snorlax)


Timid: +Speed, -Attack (Another option for Special Sweepers who need the speed)

Hasty: +Speed, -Defense (Another option for Mixed Sweepers who need the speed)

Jolly: +Speed, -Special Attack (An option for Physical Sweepers who need the speed)

Naive: +Speed, -Special Defense (An option for Mixed Sweepers who need the speed)


The next 5 are not advised to be used as they don't affect one stat in any way

Hardy: +Attack, -Attack

Docile: +Defense, -Defense

Bashful: +Special Attack, -Special Attack

Quirky: +Special Defense, -Special Defense

Serious: +Speed, -Speed
