| Competitive-wise, the best starters would have to be Chimchar and Mudkip. Both their final evolutions have huge movepools and the stats to abuse those movepools.
In terms of epic-ness, Blastoise gets my vote. It can learn both Counter AND Mirror Coat. And check out the CANNONS on its back! | |
